Honey Barbeque Wings

Sharing this exceptionally easy recipe for wings that are sweet and spicy and very easy to prepare. Even better they’re paired with an amazing Honey Barbeque Sauce that compliments them perfectly…

You will need:

4-5 lbs chicken wings
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp onion powder
1 Tbsp seasoned salt
1 Tbsp spicy Mrs Dash
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 1/2 tsp ground mustard
2 tsp paprika
1 pinch of cayenne

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Line a sheet pan with foil and give it a light misting of canola oil spray.

In a small bowl mix together all of the dry ingredients. Place wings in a large bowl and pour the dry ingredients over them. Toss till all the wings are fully coated.
Place the well-coated wings onto your sheet pan and bake for 30 minutes.

At 30 minutes pull the wings out and baste with the Honey Barbeque sauce (recipe below) and continue baking for 15 minutes. Pull the wings out again, turn them and baste again, place back in the oven and continue baking for an addition 20 minutes. Remove from the oven baste lightly one more time and then serve with extra sauce on the side.

Honey Barbeque Sauce

You will need:

1/3 cup finely chopped red onion
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup cider vinegar
1 tsp chili paste
A few dashes liquid smoke
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper

Directions:

Place medium sauce pan over medium heat. Add olive oil then the onions. Saute till onions just start to turn brown on the edges. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer on medium low for 15 minutes or till the mixture thickens. Use immediately or store in the refridgerator.
